YouTube Game Reviews

In addition to the written video game reviews that you see in this blog, I primarily create video reviews under the same guise. They are hosted on YouTube.  Below are each of my reviews in order of release.  I hope you enjoy these video reviews in HD. You can access my channel here.

Review 1 – First Encounter Assault Recon (FEAR)

A first person shooter with a touch of horror and bullet time.

Review 2 – Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

The first game in an amazing trilogy. Revamped the franchise with the help of its creator.

Review 3 – Bioshock

An action packed shooter set in a city beneath the sea.

Review 4 – Hitman: Blood Money

The fourth Hitman game, now with more uniforms and better stealth.

Review 5 – Star Wars: Battlefront 2

A Battlefield clone where you fight in all of the best battles from the movies.

Review 6 – Splinter Cell

Similar to Metal Gear Solid except with an emphasis on stealth.

Review 7 – Prey

Sci-fi shooter with puzzles. One of the longest development projects ever.

Review 8 – Persona 4

Part of the lengthy JRPG SMT games featuring action inside a TV World.

Review 9 – No More Heroes

Beat ‘em up game with a geeky protagonist murdering people using a beam katana.

Review 10 – Command and Conquer: Renegade

A First Person Shooter vision of Tiberian Dawn, the first C&C game.

Review 11 – Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Takes place in 1964 and tells the tale of Big Boss’s first mission, set in the jungle.

Review 12 – System Shock 2

The father of the FPSRPG genre and a fine horror game. You fight as a soldier on a starship.

Review 13 – Max Payne 2

Set two years after the first game. Tells the tale of a New York cop rebuilding his life.

Review 14 – Pokemon Yellow

The original Catch ‘Em All experience, featuring Pikachu!

Review 15 – Pokemon Trading Card Game

Everyone collected the cards but did anyone know how to play the game?

Review 16 – Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars

The classic point and click adventure that started a popular series.

Review 17 -Persona 3

My take on the 80 hour JRPG SMT game where high school students fight ”shadows” in a massive tower.

Review 18 – Red Faction

Join the revolution on Mars in this intense FPS released in the early years of the PS2.

Review 19 – Golden Sun

A handheld JRPG with teenagers, alchemy and cuddly critters called Djinn.

Review 20 – Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

The final Prince of Persia game in the Sands of Time trilogy. I examine some of the peculiarities with this title so there may be some Sands of Time / Warrior Within spoilers.

Review 21 – God Hand

The extreme Japanese brawler which revived the genre. You beat demons to a bloody pulp across nine amazing hours.

Review 22 – Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death

You are the law in a dystopian future where lawbreakers, vampires, zombies and ghosts from a parallel universe require “judgment”

Review 23 – Beneath a Steel Sky

Revolution’s second adventure game, set in a dystopian Australia.

Review 24 – Bioshock 2 (2 part review)

Return to Rapture in this incredible sequel. Part 2 is the video response at the bottom.

Review 25 – Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (10 part review)

An hour long, 10 part review which details why Warrior Within is one of the most frustrating and confusing mainstream games you could ever hope to play. Remember, it’s all in good fun!

Review 26 – Final Fantasy XIII (5 part review, work in progress)

I have never encountered a single bad Final Fantasy game. Until now.

Review 27 – Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines

An overlooked and under appreciated roleplaying game which makes you wish you were a vampire. Has a very similar style of gameplay to Deus Ex.
